RAWALPINDI, May 13: Abdullah, a convert from Christianity whose four children were burnt and one was killed in a gas blast here on November 3 last year, has appealed to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and other generous people for food and shelter.

A present, Abdullah is staying in a hotel at Faizabad along with his four children and wife, and he has spent his entire resources on the medical treatment of his injured children. He had also lodged an FIR against the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) for providing illegal gas connection to the owner of the house he had hired in Chaklala a week before the incident.

“I appeal to the generous people and leadership of both Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) to help me out in this crucial hour. I am now without home and money. My children can’t go to school and I hardly manage to provide two times meal to them,” Abdullah told Dawn in choked voice.—Our Reporter
