entcom chief meets CJCSC
ISLAMABAD, May 12: United States Centcom acting commander Lt- Gen Martin E.Dempsey Monday called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), Gen Tariq Majid at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Chaklala.
Gen Dempsey held a wide ranging discussion with Gen Majid on matters of mutual interest and other avenues of military cooperation. They also exchanged views on current security environment of the region.
The CJCSC said that there was “no change in our policy and our objectives are the same, however, people who renounce militancy will be brought into mainstream through political dialogue”.—APP
