Aamir Hanif shines

ISLAMABAD, May 11: An unbeaten 114 by Aamir Hanif guided Karachi Professionals Whites to an eight-wicket win over Rawalpindi Greens in the final of 10th National Senior Cricket Championship at the Diamond Club Ground on Sunday.

Aamir, who slammed 17 fours in his 74-ball knock, and Mansoor Akhtar (51) put on 165 for the unbroken third-wicket stand as the visitors reached their target of 244 easily.

Opener Jaffer Qureshi blasted four sixes and three fours in making 54 off 46 balls.

Earlier, Rawalpindi Greens posted 243-8 in 35 overs with Mansoob Mirza striking 106 off 96 balls with 12 fours and two sixes.

Off-spinner Ashraf Pakhali claimed three for 17 and Nadeem Musa two for 41.
