KARACHI: Excessive school fees


KARACHI, May 11: Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazharul Haq has taken notice of the complaints of excessive fees charged by certain private educational institutions.

A handout issued by the ministry said that the minister presided over a high level meeting to discuss the issue. Education Secretary Rizwan Memon and Director of the Private Schools Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui were among the officials who attending the meeting.

The minister directed the officials concerned to make sure that no private education institution demanded excessive fees, and asked them to implement all the rules governing the private educational institutions.

Pir Mazhar issued directives of stern action against the private schools resoring to violating the rules. —APP
