KARACHI, May 10: The Sindh government on Saturday relieved 10 additional and assistant advocate generals from their services and made fresh appointment to the positions, an official at the provincial law ministry said.

He said Sindh Law Minister Ayaz Soomro took the decision, adding that additional advocate generals Chaudhry Rafeeq Rajuri, Mohammad Ahmed Pirzada, Azhar Tunio and Fareed Ahmed Dayo were no more in service. Haleema Khan has been demoted to assistant advocate general.

“The new appointees for the positions include Abdul Fatah Malik, Alla Bachao Soomro, Shafi Mohammad Memon, Abdul Hameed Bhurguri and Liaquat Ali Sharf,” the official said.

Similarly, he said, Habib Ahmed, Tabassum Ghazanfar, Arshad Lodhi, Habibur Rahman Sheikh (Sukkur) and Rasheed A. Qureshi (Hyderabad) had been relieved from their services as assistant advocate generals.

“The relieved assistant advocate generals would be replaced by Faridul Hasan, Agha Athar Pathan, Azizul Haq Solangi, Mohammad Iqbal Maher and Haleema Khan,” he added.
