DERA ISMAIL KHAN, May 10: National Assembly Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi has directed the nation building departments to judiciously utilise the available funds and complete development projects in the area in time.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of work on the laying of a gas pipeline here on Saturday, he said that sufficient funds would be provided for the implementation of schemes for people’s welfare.

On this occasion, Executive Engineer Sajid Raza informed the deputy speaker that seven-kilometre pipeline of 8-inch diameter would be laid along the eastern Circular road, while five-kilometre pipeline of 10-inch diameter would be laid along the western Circular road.

He said that the gas supply to the city would start by the end of December 2008.

Earlier, addressing the Wazir and Mahsud notables of South Waziristan Agency here, Mr Kundi said that construction work on mega projects like Gomal Zam Dam and Dera by-pass road had started, whereas a number of other schemes would be launched in the

irrigation, health, education and drinking water sectors.
