MIRPURKHAS: Plucking mango costs life

By Our Correspondent

MIRPURKHAS, May 9: It has been told that the youth who had jumped into a sewage pond to escape from the wreath of a mob running after him but couldn’t swim and drowned, had just plucked a mango from a tree.

His body was recovered from the sewage disposal site in Rafsar town. He has been identified as Shoukat, resident of Gulshan colony here on late Thursday.

The body has been handed over to his family.

Reports said that Shoukat along with his friends was plucking mangoes in a nearby orchard when a watchman of the orchard noticed them and called them to stop. The youths ran from there but they were being chased after by the watchman and some other people.

Shoukat jumped into a big sewage pond in a bid to save him from the mob, but drowned.

ARREST: Satellite town police have arrested a narcotic peddler from Walkart town here on Friday.
