QUETTA, May 8: Five people were killed and 10 others suffered injuries in a road accident near Surab in the district of Kalat on Thursday.

Police sources said a Quetta-bound pick-up of the Frontier Works Organisation coming from Panjgur collided head-on with a jeep of the Frontier Corps coming from the opposite direction at the Kharan Chowk.

The injured, five of them said to be in serious condition, were taken to the CMH Quetta by a helicopter.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad Bakhsh, Hawaldar Nazir Ahmed, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Ismail and Abdul Rehman.
