India score another easy win
KURUNEGALA, May 8: India continued their invincible form in the Women’s Asia Cup with a convincing eight-wicket win against Sri Lanka here on Thursday.
Off-spinner Pujare Seema, playing her first international tournament, took three wickets to become the leading wicket-taker with 11 from five games. But Jhulan Goswami, who has nine, became the fourth woman to reach 100 wickets in ODIs.
In reply, India lost openers early but Asha Rawat and Mithali Raj added an unbeaten 84 to wrap up the match in 26 overs.
The two sides meet again in the final here on Sunday.
