CGA calls on Balochistan chief minister

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, May 7: The Controller General Accounts, Mohammad Mohsin Khan, called on Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani here on Wednesday.

Mr Khan informed the chief minister about major reforms being undertaken by the CGA for an integrated financial management information system to provide decision support information and improve service delivery and ensure submission of timely, relevant and accurate accounts with reference to the governance structure in Balochistan.

He said the system would lead to better budgeting, financial control and effective project management. Mr Khan said pension reform measures were being taken with special reference to Balochistan where pensioners faced hardship because of long distances.

The chief minister agreed in principle to provide land for construction of the Account General Office in Quetta.
