LAHORE, May 6: Four teams will vie for the top honours in the National Departmental Handball Championship to commence from Thursday here at the Railway Stadium.

Top handball players of four departmental teams, namely, Army, Wapda, Police and the host’s team will take part in the three-day event being organised by the Pakistan Railways Sports Board.

It was disclosed by a spokesman of the Pakistan Handball Federation that the federation would also be organising the South Asian Championship this year.

A national team would also participate in the 3rd World Beach Handball Championship, to be held at Cadiz, Spain, from July 9 to 13.
