Veterinary hospitals planned

By Our Correspondent

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 5: Modern hospitals for treatment of livestock will be established in different parts of the province including Naushahro Feroze, said Sindh Minister for Livestock Abdul Haq Bhurt.

Speaking during the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Centre of Artificial Insemination on Monday, he said there was shortage of staff in the Livestock Department due to ban on recruitment. However, 500 veterinary doctors will be recruited through the Sindh Public Service Commission very soon, said the minister.

Mr Bhurt said working of the department will be streamlined and those found involved in corruption punished. He said the PPP government was planning to provide jobs and people should stay patient as very soon they’ll hear good news. He promised delayed promotions and move-over to further grades to be announced soon.

Director General Livestock Ghulam Mohammad Mahar, Director Livestock Abdul Qadir Junejo and others were present.

Speaking at a meeting of District Livestock Office, the minister said a veterinary doctor Abdul Jabbar and chowkidar Nadeem Pirzada had been suspended for lodging FIR against innocent people.
