Sara Mahboob completes double

ISLAMABAD, May 4: Sara Mahboob knocked out Natasha Afridi to clinch the ladies singles title of the PTCL-Subh-e-Nau Ladies National Tennis Championship at the Islamabad Club clay courts on Sunday.

Sara faced a tough fight before overcoming Natasha 6-3, 6-0 after an hour-long competition while providing the spectators with good tennis.

Earlier in the day, Sara also won the doubles title of the tournament while pairing up with Natasha Afridi. They beat Sara Mansoor and Saba Aziz 6-0, 6-2.

A total of Rs210,000 were given away in prize money in accordance with the International Tennis Federation rules out of which the winner of the singles title got Rs55,000 while the runner-up received Rs35,000.
