KARACHI, May 2: Four ships to load cement and clinkers and naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where over a dozen ships including Fatheh Al-Rehman, Laftah to load cement, Sealo-1 and Noor-i-Madina, Athanasios. G Gallitsis to load rice and Nikoloasp to offload DAP fertiliser and container vessels were berthed during the last two days.

Sailing was also active as over a dozen vessels, notably Transport, PAC Amtlia, APL Jeddah, Lucky Arrow, Soon Fu, APL Cairo, Ikan Jaura, C. Due, Ninth Ocean, Kota Gunawan, Cap Colorado and Sari departed, while Iran Faraz, Calvin P Titus, Noor-i-Madina, Banglar Maya, Arabian Wind and Orient Stride are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 184,000 tons comprising 91,594 tons of export cargo including 4,745 tons of rice, 10,786 tons of cement and 9,500 tons of clinkers and 91,987 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday; Bulk Arrow to load 17,500 tons of cement, Golden Arrow-2 to load 26,700 tons of clinker, River Pride to load 40,000 tons of naphtha and Great Summit to offload general cargo.
