Claim refuted
ISLAMABAD: Chief military spokesman Maj-Gen Athar Abbas has dismissed as baseless an allegation that the attack on Afghan President Hamid Karzai had its roots in Pakistan’s tribal areas.
“Anybody can say that militants (in the tribal areas) have done this or that,” Gen Abbas said on Wednesday. “How can one validate such claims?”—AP
