KARACHI: Temperature climbs down
By Our Staff Reporter
KARACHI, April 27: Karachiites, who had experienced extremely hot and dry weather for the past few days, had some respite on Sunday as the mercury climbed down by more than 3.5ºC, said a Met official.
He said the wind direction also changed slightly as owing to the extremely hot weather in the city cool sea breeze was sucked in, which pushed the humidity level from Saturday’s 11 per cent to 38 per cent on Sunday, as a result of which the mercury also fell.
He said the maximum temperature recorded in the city on Sunday was 38ºC as against Saturday’s 42.8ºC. The minimum temperature recorded on Sunday in the city was 24 degrees.
The weather in the city is expected to remain hot and dry with some clouds on Monday and the maximum temperature is expected to range from 36 to 38 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature recorded in the country was in Nawabshah that sizzled at 46ºC.
