KARACHI, April 24: Six ships carrying chemicals, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight ships, Kapitan Byankin, APL Pusan, Mir Damad to unload and load containers, Le Ding to offload and load general cargo, Iron Butterfly to unload project cargo, Placid Sea to unload imported wheat, Johar to unload crude oil and Sun Mercury to load ethanol were berthed.

Six ships, Estere, Creek, CEC Faith, Lucky Man, APL Cairo and Mol Admiration departed, while Christina-L, APL Pusan, Mir Damad, Helene Rickmers, Blida, Sun Mercury, Val. Bella, Johar and Hyun Jin KS-3 are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 0.134m tons comprising 68,851 tons of export cargo including 10,000 and 7,901 tons of clinkers and cement and 64,777 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Merbabu to offload crude oil, Pertiwi to unload chemicals, Kota Puri, Filipa and Y.M. Inventive with containers and Lucky Arrow to load 11,500 tons of cement.
