KARACHI, April 23: Three ships scheduled to load/offload containers, LPG and diesel oil were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying canola seeds, palm oil and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Nedlloyd Africa, Sibi, Rio Graclia, Earth Song, Nan Hai, Al-Soor-II, Sabarimala and Barcelona Bright, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, LPG palm oil, coal, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A record cargo volume of 124,374 tons comprising 101,062 tons of import and 23,312 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Nedlloyd Africa and Earth Song sailed out while Al-Soor-II and Sabarimala were expected to depart on Wednesday.
