KARACHI, April 21: Eight ships carrying containers and to load cement and clinkers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where a dozen ships including Marine Reliance to offload cars, Oel Strength, Cosco Daanmam, Sahar, Wan Hai-311, Itha Bhum and Harmony to unload and load containers and Noor-e-Madina to load cement were berthed during the last two days.
About two dozen vessels including Oel Victory, Oel Mumbai, Far Singapore, Filippa, Tenth Ocean, Barvo P, Bunga Kantan Tiga, Y.M. Improvement, Orient Stride, West, and Sima Sahaba Soon Fu, Harmony, Ultima, Ship Name, Pacific Primate, Emeral Coral, Shoko Maru, Star Zeta, Grigoroussa and Shaheen Al-Ghanim-10 sailed out during the last two days.
The following ships, Itha Bhum, Banglar Maookh, Sahar, Noor-e-Madina, Caribbean Carrier, Cosco Dammam, Coromel, Pontica, Oel Strength and Swat, are due to sail out on Tuesday.
A total tonnage of 0.278m tons comprising 93,111 tons of export cargo including 23,500 tons of clinkers, 11,843 tons of cement and 2,643 tons of sugar and 0.185m tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Transport with 17,000 tons of palm oil, APL Cairo, Helene Rickmers, Mir Damad and Lucky Man with containers, Sari to load 4,500 tons of cement, Le Ding to load 5,000 tons of general cargo and Blida to load 20,000 tons of cement.
