KARACHI, April 12: Almost all leading players of the country including womenfolk are set to make their presence felt when the main round of Rs200,000 Pakistan Open tennis championship commences at the Karachi Club on Sunday.

The men’s singles qualifying round were held at the venue on Saturday to pick eight qualifiers for the main draw of 32.

The organisers have named six qualifiers while the remaining two will be announced on Sunday. They will join top 20 PTF ranked players in the main draw. In addition, they have released the names of four wild cards for the men’s singles.

The six qualifiers include Aslam Pervez, Sunny Williams, Hari Das, Hasan Ahmed, M. Ishaq and Hussain Jassani.

The four wild cards are Ali Asghar Bandeali, Akbar Hayat Khan, Saqib Hassan and Omer Jahangir. The week-long activity concludes on April 18.
