President’s visit not sudden: Soomro

By Our Correspondent

JACOBABAD, April 12: Chairman of the Senate Mohammedmian Soomro has dismissed notions suggesting that President Musharraf’s visit to China was sudden and stressed that the visit had been scheduled.

Speaking to journalists at his residence late on Friday night Mr Soomro said that it would further strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

He condemned recent violence in Karachi and said that everybody was free to express his views in a democracy but the freedom should not be misused and should never take a violent turn.

He attended a dinner given in his honour by the DCO and held meetings with different delegations.

He said he had come to Jacobabad to inquire about the health of his mother.

Mr Soomro laid the foundation stone for Jacobabad Sports Complex, formerly called exhibition ground and also inaugurated Girls Community Technology Centre at Government K.G Higher Secondary School.
