KARACHI, April 9: Eight ships carrying palm oil, general cargo and to load molasses and cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Cap Colorado, Kapitan Byankin, APL Brisbane, Ninth Ocean to unload and load containers and Star Zeta, to offload canola were berthed after the departure of as many.
The departing ships were led by Mol Ability, China Star, Filippa, Noor-i-Madina and Golden Top, while Faith-1, Torm Anholt, Cap Colorado and Sea Bulk hope are due to sail out on Thursday.
A total tonnage of 0.127m tons comprising 45,547 tons of export cargo including 7,000 tons of rice and 9,495 tons of cement and 81,036 tons of imported cargo was handled on Wednesday.
The following ships are due on Thursday: Cielo Di Guangzhou to load molasses, Chembulk Usan to unload 8,000 tons of palm oil, Hansa Liberty, Harmony, Eric G. Gibson to unload and load containers, Bulk Arrow to load 17,500 tons of cement, Khairpur with general cargo and Manisamut Naree with 9,353 tons of wheat flour.
