KARACHI, March 31: Three ships carrying wheat, chemicals and crude oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, CMA CGM Rose, Tai, Tiran Island, Pontonikis, Ocean Morning, Bungal Oachid, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jiaho, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, chemicals, crude oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 50,200 tons comprising 33,400 tons of import and 16,800 tons of export tonnage was handled.
