KARACHI, March 30: Two constables were killed late on Sunday night when two people in a car opened fire on them in Model Colony.

Police said Javed Iqbal and Khalid Mehmood were fatally wounded when they were fired upon near Crystal Bungalows.

They said the policemen were patrolling the area on their motorbike. They were attacked when they signaled the car to stop for checks.

Police said the two constables returned fire, bursting one of the tyres of the assailants’ car. They said the culprits abandoned their car and snatched a motorcycle from a man at gunpoint and escaped.
