RAWALPINDI, March 30: A 26-year-old man committed suicide by shooting himself in Chamanzar Colony on Sunday, police said.

Abdul Ghaffar, who was employed in the National Highway Authority (NHA), shot himself after being scolded by his father on Sunday.

The police investigating officer said Abdul Ghafoor, the father of the deceased, had asked his son to do some repair work as it was a holiday, but he refused to do so and went to his room where he shot himself. On hearing the sound of gunshot, his parents rushed to the room where they found Abdul Ghaffar lying on the floor with a pistol beside him.—Staff Reporter
