KARACHI: Transporters for cut in oil prices

KARACHI, March 30: The Anjuman Ittehad Bus Malikan, (owners and operators of buses and mini-buses) has welcomed the new government’s intention to cut oil prices, and said the caretaker setup had allowed a raise in the bus fares in haste. There would be no need of increasing bus fares if the recent raise in oil prices were withdrawn, it maintained.

Mohammad Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain, Lala Sultan and other leaders of the association also criticised opposed an increased amount of fines for violation of traffic rules announced recently by the government, and demanded that the decision be reversed.
