Karachi win basketball event

KARACHI, March 29: Karachi won the Sindh Inter-district women’s basketball championship outplaying hosts Mirpurkhas 37-25 in the final at Government Apwa High School court on Saturday.

According to information reaching here the winners led 25-12 at half time.

Fozia Fateh Mohammad was the main architect of her team’s triumph contributing 20 points. She was supported by Saira Younus (14).

Rabia Sarwer stood tall for the losers with a tally of 17 while Shafaq Naz scored 8.

The Player of the Tournament title went to Karachi’s Saira Younus while Rabia Sarwer of Mirpurkhas was declared Best Scorer.
