Police interfere in press club election


JACOBABAD, March 27: Journalists staged demonstration in Kandhkot on Thursday to protest police interference in press club elections.

According to reports, elections of Kandhkot Press Club were fixed for March 27 but police interfered in the process and exchanged hot words with journalists.

Later, journalists led by Liaquat Khoso and Raja Gopi Chand, protested against police in Kandhkot.

The president of the press club announced postponement of elections for three days.

KIDNAPPED: Two boys were kidnapped near Anaj Mandi here on Thursday. Fahad, and Abdullah Kanrani were kidnapped by unidentified persons. The accused tranquillised them and kept them in a room.

The kidnappers were talking on mobile phone when boys woke up, raised alarm and fled. The bandits also escaped from the spot.—Correspondent
