KARACHI, March 27: Four ships to load and unload containers, cement, palm oil and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying palm oil, wheat and iron ore also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, ACX Dahlia, Al-Manakh, Tiran Island, Transport, African Zebra, Artaki, Al-Soor-II and Dong Sheng Ocean, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, palm oil, wheat, diesel oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 135,000 tons comprising 120,000 tons of import and 15,000 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Three ships, Vanguard Viking-I, ACX Dahlia and Al-Manakh sailed out while Al-Soor-II and Dong Sheng Ocean were due to depart on Thursday.
