SAHIWAL, March 26: Two family members were killed while four others sustained serious injuries when their car rammed into a roadside tree on Sahiwal-Faisalabad Road on Wednesday.

Police said that Dost Muhammad along with his family was going to Jaranwala by his car when the incident happened. Consequently, Dost Muhammad and his uncle Hameedullah died instantly while his wife Aasia, children Khaliq, Taufiq and driver Akbar suffered serious injuries.

LOOTED: Robbers looted Rs40,000 in cash, jewellery worth Rs110,000, cell phones and other valuables from members of a marriage party near here on Wednesday. According to the police, seven gunmen intercepted a bus near Chak 61/5-L, held up all the people, collected cash, jewellery, cell phones and other valuables and decamped with the booty.
