KARACHI, March 26: Three ships carrying containers, wheat and chemicals were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with wheat, containers, cement and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Nedlloyd Europa, Al Manakh, Gemini, Artaki, African Zebra, Vanguard Viking, Chel Tenham and Dong Sheng Ocean, were busy in loading and unloading containers, palm oil, wheat, furnace oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 118,089 tons comprising 101,529 tons of import and 16,560 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Three ships, Nedlloyd Europa,, Gemini and Chel Tenham, sailed out while Vanguard Viking was expected to leave the port.
