Power outages paralyse life

MIRPURKHAS, March 25: The 10-hour long load-shedding since last few days has virtually paralysed routine life and business activities in Mirpurkhas and Digri divisions.

Water supply remains disrupted to cities and towns during power outage while operations, particularly in the Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas get suspended.

For last two week business is undergoing colossal loss due to power outage. People are also facing problems due to prolonged load-shedding.

President Mirpurkhas Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Khaliq Khan has condemned long power outages and appealed to Hesco authorities to reduce the duration and announce its schedule.

ATTACK CONDEMNED: The Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union has condemned attacks on union office and Hesco city sub-division complaint centre by angry mob.

In a statement, Akbar Leghari and other union leaders said some miscreants attacked complaint centre and union office situated at Mirwah Road and ransacked the furniture.

However, enraged consumers protested at Market Chowk against load-shedding.—Correspondent
