HYDERABAD: Demand for killers’ arrest

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, March 23: Relatives of Imran Bhatti, a boy, who was gunned down by dacoits in a robbery in the jurisdiction of Makki Shah police station on March 10, staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Sunday.

The boy’s father Alam Khan Bhatti and brother Zulfikar Bhatti raised slogans demanding arrest of the killers.

Qasimabad Action Committee and the All Furniture Shopkeepers Association Al-Amna Complex Office-bearers also participated in the protest.

Earlier, they staged a protest march from the district council building to the press club.

Zulfikar told journalists that they had expressed suspicion about some people regarding the incident and they should at least be interrogated by police, if not arrested. But he said the Makki Shah police were doing nothing to arrest the killers.

Imran Bhatti was gunned down by dacoits in district council quarters opposite Al-Amna complex on March 10.

Three armed bandits barged in Alam Khan Bhatti’s house and looted valuables and cash. Imran offered resistance and was fired upon. He died on the spot.
