KARACHI, March 22: Six ships carrying containers and gas oil are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where over a dozen ships notably Sea Master to unload imported wheat, Orient Stride, Mare Thecium, APL Tulip, Kota Gunawan, Pae Antilia, Y.M. Inventive with containers, Vinalines to offload coal, BBC Islander, Da Tian, Alima with general cargo and Johar, Chemstar Duke and Dragon, oil tankers, were berthed.

Sailing was also on the higher side as over a dozen ships including Hyundai Stride, Harmony, Oel Trust, Red Sea Spipit, Liquid Success, Lady Tramp, Calvin P. Titus and APL Tulip, Mare Threcium, Lalazar, Daebo Frontier, BBC Islander, Gemini, Cendana and Pacific Arrow left the port.

While A. Dragon, Western Star, Y.M. Inventive, Vimalines Mighty, Omega King, Johar, Dan Tian, Orient Stride and Valbella are due to sail out on Sunday.

A total tonnage of 0.267m tons comprising 42,097 tons of export cargo and 0.225m tons of the import tonnage was handled during the last two days.
