Navy favourite for CNS shooting

KARACHI, March 17: Pakistan Navy, having the services of several international standard shooters, begin as favourites in the inaugural Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Shooting Championship which gets into action at the PN shooting range on Tuesday.

Apart from the hosts Navy, some 200 marksmen and markswomen belonging to Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan, Wapda and Sindh Police are to vie for honours in different categories.

Competitions in skeet, pistol, air rifle and big bore will be organised on the opening day, Lt. Cdr Mujahid Owais, Patron PN Shooting told Dawn on Monday.

The championship concludes on March 25. — Sports Correspondent
