Some unidentified armed persons whisked away Haji Toor Jan, a prominent trader of Tehsil Mamond, and fled towards undisclosed location.

The local Taliban after getting information regarding the kidnapping chased the kidnappers and intercepted them at Kausar area of tehsil Khar.

Taliban fired rockets at the vehicle, fearing explosive or other lethal arms may be concealed in the car.

Terhrik-i-Taliban spokesperson told journalists that they had initiated a drive against the growing cases of kidnapping particularly of the local traders for the last few weeks.
