NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Protest against Hesco staff’s misbehaviour

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, March 16: People of the Ghulam Mohammad Lakho village near Kandiaro staged a demonstration on the link road and burnt tyres in protest against Hesco officials on Sunday.

They complained that a team of Hesco officials of Kandiaro forcibly entered their homes and misbehaved with their women.

They said that they were no defaulters and paid their bills regularly. But, the power supply to their houses was disconnected.

They appealed to the higher authorities for an inquiry and action against the Hesco officials.Meanwhile, the people of Bhirya Road town led by Moulvi Abdul Hafeez Keerio, Abdul Hameed and Amjad Ali also staged a demonstration outside the Hesco office.

They complained that on a false pretext of shortage of power, Hesco was resorting to loadshedding for 10 to 12 hours a day.

They appealed to the higher authorities to look into the matter.

SUP: The activists of Sindh United Party observed token hunger strike in Moro on Sunday.

They were demanding restoration and release of deposed chief justice, Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry, and other judges who had refused to take oath under the PCO.

The activists, led by district president of the party Khan Dahiri, Zanwar Hussain Shah and Azad Korejo, observed token hunger strike for four hours.
