According to a CDGK press release, all the contracting firms have been warned against unnecessary delays in the ongoing uplift projects. Otherwise, the city government would take stern action against those firms, which included imposition of a fine and a complete ban on the award of other contracts in the future and publicising it through the media, it said.

The city nazim during his visits to various uplift projects had directed the relevant firms to undertake the construction work in day and night shifts.

However, it has been observed that the companies stopped the work during the nights, resulting in unnecessary delay.
