HYDERABAD: PPP workers want Fahim as PM

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, March 11: Workers of Pakistan People’s Party from Qasimabad area staged a demonstration outside press club in support of Makhdoom Amin Fahim, including men, women and children.

Shahabuddin Abbasi, Sahibzadi Chandio, Shamsuddin and others demanded designating Amin Faheem as prime minister. They said in the absence of Benazir Bhutto, he kept the party intact for many years adding being Senior Vice-Chairman of the party and on account of his services and sacrifices he deserves to become prime minister.

They said if Amin Faheem was bypassed, it will create a sense of deprivation among the people of Sindh who will not accept anyone else as the future prime minister.

Meanwhile, PPP leaders distributed sweets at the Hyderabad Press Club on the nomination of Syed Qaim Ali Shah as chief minister of Sindh.
