Khuhro rejects big dams

LARKANA, March 10: There wasn’t a need for constructing big dams as its concept had been rejected worldwide, said Pakistan Peoples Party designated Speaker for the Sindh Assembly, Nisar Ahmed Khuhro.

He was talking to journalists during a reception of Syed Deedar Shah.

He said delay in convening assemblies will unmask motives of caretakers and called for early summoning of assemblies as the Election Commission had notified results of reserved seats also.

He said Sindh had suffered lot due to unjust share in the National Finance Commission and hoped the assembly members now will play an active role in this regard.—Correspondent
