Port Qasim

KARACHI, March 10: Five ships carrying containers, cement, sulphur and iron ore were berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, furnace oil and canola seeds also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent at the wharves where six ships, Santhya, Dubai Express, Leopard B, Al-Aqeela, Silver Gate and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, sulphur, wheat and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 44,189 tons comprising 28,023 tons of import and 16,166 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Santhya and Dubai Express left the port.
