HANGU, March 8: At least five tribesmen were killed when their vehicle came under fire in Gudar, in the Orakzai Agency, on Saturday.

Political administration officials said five tribesmen were passing in a double-cabin pick-up through the Gudar area. At about 1pm they were ambushed near Aandkhel.

In the indiscriminate firing, five people were killed on the spot. And their vehicle was destroyed. Two of the deceased --- identified as Anayat Sher and Ismael Sher --belonged to the Mashti Anjghani tribe of Orakzai Agency.

The assistant political agent of the area said the Levies personnel recovered three Kalashnikovs and several rounds of ammunition from the site.
