SHIKARPUR, March 7: A man was killed in an armed attack on Anwar Ali Shar Goth in the jurisdiction of Lakhi police station on Friday.

Some armed men attacked Anwar Ali Shar village with automatic weapons.

After the attack, a gunbattle started between the attackers and the villagers. As a result of exchange of fire, Khadim Hussain Shar was killed.

The assailants facing resistance by the villagers escaped.

The attack on Shar village was said to be a reaction of killing of Eidan Khoso by Shar tribesmen on Thursday.

The motive behind the feud was said to be a land dispute.

Meanwhile, a youth, Sohail Shaikh was murdered by two armed men at the Saddar bazaar here.—Correspondent
