Gangster shot dead

LAHORE, March 6: Unidenti-fied assailants allegedly gunned down the brother of notorious criminal Mubeen Butt in Mustafaabad area on Thursday.

Police said Qasim Butt of Malipura, Shafeeqabad, was going on his motorcycle when assailants fired at him near Mian Mir shrine.

He received eight bullets that caused his instant death.

An Edhi ambulance shifted the body to the city mortuary.

Police said the deceased, Qasim, was also involved in various incidents of crime.

The police also recovered two licensed weapons on some other names besides a pistol, a cell phone and a motorcycle from the crime scene.
