MARDAN: Woman, two daughters\shot dead

MARDAN, March 6: A woman and her two daughters were allegedly gunned down by their close relatives inside their house in Sharifabad area on Wednesday evening over a family dispute.

It was learnt that Qaiser Khan wanted the hand of his niece Shaila Bibi from his brother Asghar Khan for his son identified as Nasir Khan, but his brother refused. On Wednesday evening the accused reached Asghar Khan’s house along with his sons Nasir Khan and Zubair Khan and allegedly opened indiscriminate fire over the inmates killing Asghar’s wife on the spot, while his two daughters received serious bullet injuries. The accused managed to make good their escape.

Daughters of Asghar Khan identified as Shaila Bibi and Naila Bibi were taken to a local hospital but they succumbed to injuries.

Father of the victims has lodged First Investigation Report against Qaiser Khan, Nasir Khan and Zubair Khan at the City Police Station.
