SUKKUR, March 5: A personnel of Rangers was killed and another sustained injuries when their vehicle hit a landmine on the Sui road near Kashmore late on Tuesday night while two more of their colleagues were injured when their mobile overturned trying to reach the place of accident.

Reports said that a party of Rangers was patrolling the road in a double-cabin vehicle to keep watch over a gas pipeline laid from Sui to Punjab and Balochistan, when their vehicle hit a landmine and blew up with huge explosion. Hawaldar Nasrullah was killed on the spot and Constable Abdul Karim was injured.

Another Rangers vehicle, which was speeding to the place to help their comrades overturned, resulting in serious injuries to Noor Mohammad and Imdad.

The injured were first shifted to Kashmore hospital and later moved to Pano Akil cantonment hospital due to their critical condition.

TWO KILLED: Two people were killed in a clash between Sabzoi and Chachar tribesmen in Noor Hasan Sabzoi village near Guddu bridge on Wednesday evening.

Reports said that a group of armed Chachar tribesmen attacked the village and in ensuing exchange of fire for half an hour Hakim Chachar and Fazal Mohammad Sabzoi were killed.
