A sordid drop scene of love marriage

By Our Correspondent

NAROWAL, March 4: A ward boy of Sughra Shafi Memorial Hospital shot his wife, also a staff of the same hospital, dead on hospital premises apparently over a domestic dispute here on Tuesday. Fearing arrest, the man later committed suicide at the hospital lawns.

Yasir Khan, 25, of Mohallah Siddique Pura, had married Asma Shehzadi for love around five months ago. Asma, a resident of Gunj Hussainabad, was working at the family planning desk of the hospital.

However, just four months after exchanging vows, they developed some disputes and their matrimonial life was said to be strained for the past one month.

Asma was in a lady doctor’s office at around 11am on Tuesday when Yasir came there and had an argument with his wife. Enraged Yasir later shot at her with a pistol. Asma received two bullets in her head and died on the spot.

Yasir tried to flee but the hospital guards chased him. Fearing imminent arrest, he shot himself in the temple with the same pistol. The police are investigating.
