KARACHI: Jobless man shot dead

KARACHI, March 4: A jobless man was shot dead in Site on Tuesday.

Bashir Ahmed, 45, was killed by unidentified assailants near Allied Bank Chowrangi around 10am. The victim, who hailed from Tank area of the NWFP, received three bullets in his upper torso from a very close range. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, police said.

Police said that a case against unidentified assailants was registered on the complaint of victim’s wife Amna. They said the couple was childless. They were living at a rented house near Masjid-i-Qaba in Metroville.

The woman told police that her husband had been jobless for many days. She said that he had left the house in search of work around 9:45am on Tuesday. She claimed that her husband did not have any enmity with anyone.
