LAHORE, March 2: Jamat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said that increasing terrorism incidents seemed to be aimed at destabilising the country and sabotaging the process of formation of a democratic government after the general elections.

Condoling the death of innocent persons in recent bomb blasts at Darra Adam Khel and Qila Saifullah in a statement issued here on Sunday, he said the interior minister's statement that US was helping the terrorists and Indian and Afghan agencies were involved in acts of terrorism had made it clear that the nation was suffering on account of President Pervez Musharraf's decision of making Pakistan the front line ally of US against terrorism.

President Musharraf should now stop creating hurdles in reinstatement of the deposed judges and formation of governments by the parties winning the largest number of seats in the elections and quit.

Meanwhile, Jama'at Naib Amir Liaqat Baloch cautioned the Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), Awami National Party and Jamiate Ulema-i-Islam (F) leaders against what he called the machinations of the establishment while forming the central and provincial governments.

Talking to different delegations at JI headquarters at Mansoora he alleged that President Musharraf was hindering the formation of new governments because he was an unconstitutional head of state whose `misrule’ had created a crisis in the country and put the national integrity and solidarity at stake by preferring the interests of international imperialism over those of the people. —Reporter
