LAHORE, March 1: Six MPAs-elect of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q announced on Saturday launching of a forward bloc in the party and claimed having support of 34 more members.

The representatives of the former ruling party, who announced the decision at a press conference, are: Mohammad Abbas (PP-134), Shujaat Ahmad Khan (PP-136), Khalid Pervaiz Virk (PP-101), Irfan Bashir Gujjar (PP-102), Sultan Sikandar Bharwana (PP-76) and Jalaluddin Dhakkoo (PP-222).

They chose not to give the names of their other ‘disgruntled’ colleagues, saying that they would be announced at an ‘appropriate’ time.

They said that they would support the PML-N in the Punjab Assembly and added that they had consulted their friends and constituents before taking the decision.

They said that the law and order and economic situation were the main reasons behind their decision to form the forward bloc.

They said that forming forward blocs was part of the ‘political traditions’ in the country.
